Crochet peacock

Finally I can show you my crochet peacock. It was for my niece at her confirmation yesterday. I’ve been searching on Pinterest but I did not find a pattern I was totally happy with. So I just made this one freehand with inspiration from different pictures found online.

I’m very happy with it and so was she ❤️

The “eye” on the tail feathers is from a pattern found here:

Mandala madness part 5

So I decided that 3 mandalas was just too much. They are getting big and every round is very time consuming. It was a tough decision but it had to be done. I will only be working on these two from now on. I love both of them. Can’t wait for next week.

Part 4 of mandala madness

Part 4 of mandala madness is now done on all 3 of my mandalas.

Maybe I’m going to regret that I’m doing 3 when they get bigger and every part gets more time consuming. I don’t know. But I’m really enjoying this CAL. I’ve already learned some new techniques. It’s the first time that I’m doing something like this where I don’t know the outcome. It’s so much fun! And I can’t wait for next Thursday 🙂

This is the pattern:

This one must be my favorite of the 3 that I’m making. Here’s a picture of all 4 steps so far on my springtime mandala. I decided that the last round of part 4 should be in 2 colors. I think it looks great and I’m happy I did it. But it took forever.

My stash yarn mandala madness :

The madness continues

My two mandalas are now up to date. I can’t wait for part 4.

Just got a yarn delivery today. I’m so excited. It’s stylecraft special DK for a third mandala. I can’t wait to show you.

Update:

I’ve worked hard all weekend on my third mandala. Part 2 is done and I’m working on part 3. Here’s part 2. It has spring written all over it 🙂 and it makes me happy.
